Selena Gomez, an actress as well as a performer, has gained a lot of recognition across the world. She has been involved in numerous projects, however her involvement in the Disney show Wizards of Waverly Place has had the greatest success. Her real name is Selena Marie Gomez. The birth of her daughter was on July 22, 1992, at Grand Prairie Texas. Her parents are Amanda Cornett and Ricardo Gomez. Her mother was only sixteen at the time Selena was born. When she was 9 she began her career in the show industry when she got the role of Gianna on Barney and her Friends. She was among many children to have played with Barney, the infamous Pink Dinosaur, an anthropomorphic dinosaur. Selena was a part of several episodes of seasons 7 and 8 from 2001 to 2003. Fun fact: Demi Lovato, who was part of Barney's Friends during that time also, was a co-star with Selena. Selena Gomez tried out for different roles and programmes after leaving Barney and his Friends, but failed. She got a small role in the 2003 movie Mini Spies 3 (Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over) and another like Julie on Walker Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire. The year 2006 was the time she also was granted the role in the role of Emily Grace Garcia for the Brain Zapped show. She composed a song.
